Amanda Conroy

Director of Development

For over a decade, Amanda Conroy has led development and marketing efforts for mission-driven organizations across California and Oregon. A passionate nonprofit leader, she specializes in relationship-based fundraising, strategic communications, and building organizational cultures rooted in philanthropy and community impact.

Amanda holds dual B.A. degrees in Art History and Women’s Studies from UC Santa Barbara, and an M.P.A. with a concentration in Public Sector Management and Leadership from California State University, Northridge. Her commitment to nonprofit service began early through volunteer work and grew with internships at nonprofits during college, leading to a career in public service. Since relocating to Oregon in 2020, she has served in senior development roles at Meals on Wheels People and Street Roots.

In May 2025, Amanda joined All Hands Raised as Director of Development. “I’m truly inspired by All Hands Raised’s commitment to educational equity and its transformative work across Portland. It’s an honor to contribute to a mission that centers youth, families, and community voice while working toward systemic change.”

Amanda brings a proven track record of cultivating major gifts, securing institutional funding, and leading high-impact campaigns and events. She believes great fundraising is not just about dollars raised—but about trust, collaboration, and shared impact. And, you can’t have fundraising without a little bit of FUN!

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys road-tripping through the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Joel, and their two dogs, Pixel and Clifford. Around town, you’ll often find her at a local indie movie theater, browsing the shelves for her next watch at Movie Madness, or reading on a sunny rooftop. And, on Saturdays, you can find her at Portland Saturday Market supporting her and her partners small business, Lil’ Planets.
