These included increasing the state budget for the New Mexico Grown Farm to School program, passing urban agriculture ordinances in Santa Fe, and securing funding for the NM Double Up Food Bucks program. She also built strong partnerships with tribal elders and activists within the Navajo Nation and the Eight Northern Pueblos, centering culturally grounded and community-led approaches.
Most recently, Morgan served as an Adjunct Instructor at Portland State University in the Mark O. Hatfield School’s Sustainable Food Systems Graduate Certificate program. She and her husband Shane have called Oregon home since 2018.
