2010/11 PPS Equity Grants Announced

In 2010/11 All Hands Raised, through its Portland Public Schools Foundation division, and in partnership with Portland Public Schools, awarded $580,00 in PPS School-Based Equity Grants to 25 PPS Schools and $244,500 in Community-Based Equity Grants to 13 organizations that demonstrated strong partnerships with PPS Schools.

The 2010/11 PPS Equity Grant funds were generated from 33 Local School Foundations (LSFs) in Portland Public Schools, whose dedicated parents, teachers, school staff and leaders designate one-third of what they raised (which totaled $2.72 million in 2010) through fundraising activities to the PPS Equity Fund.
