Thank you for attending the 20th Anniversary Roast! Because of your generosity and commitment to our work, we raised over $510,000!
The 20th Annual Roast supports the mission of All Hands Raised to champion education, equity and excellence inside and outside of the classroom – a mission that requires all of us to raise our hand and play our part. The Roast is a chance to take a night off and kick up our heels, share a good laugh – and raise funds to support our work to improve educational outcomes for all of our kids.
This year’s Roast featured comedian and international headliner Alonzo Bodden. Introduced to America on NBCʼs “Last Comic Standing,” Alonzo was runner up on Season 2 and came back to win it all on Last Comic Standing Season 3, “The Best of the Best.” His one-hour comedy special, “Who’s Paying Attention?” premiered on Showtime, and Alonzo was a regular on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” a favorite guest on Adam Corollaʼs radio show and a is a current panelist on NPR’s “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!”
