The Issue:
K-12 Attendance in Multnomah County
Oregon has one of the worst school attendance records in the country. Across Multnomah County, only 64% of K-12 students currently attend school regularly — meaning they attend at least 90% of school days. Chronic absenteeism strips away the one resource every other intervention depends on: time in the classroom, and the students furthest from opportunity are hit hardest.
