Mychal Threets is coming to Portland — and he's bringing everything that makes him one of the most beloved advocates for libraries, young people, and the power of reading.

Meet Mychal
Mychal Threets, known as Mychal the Librarian, is a PBS Kids resident librarian, literacy advocate, and host of the revival of Reading Rainbow on KidZuko.
With 2 million+ followers across TikTok and Instagram, he's one of the most joyful voices in literacy advocacy in the country and the author of I'm So Happy You're Here: A Celebration of Library Joy (Penguin, 2026).
